Ch. 4 v. 28-29

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 4:28-29

Ch. 4 v. 25-27

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we we members one of another.
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:25-27

Ch. 4 v. 23-24 - True Holiness

And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Ephesians 4:23-24
I'm pretty good at fake holiness, but what I really want is this "new man" true holiness.

Ch. 4 v. 20-22

But ye have not so learned Christ;
If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus;
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Ephesians 4:20-22

Ch. 4 v. 17- No Video Today, Just the Word...

...but wasn't that fun yesterday?  I have to say, embedding a video did make me feel very bloggery.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,       Ephesians 4:17

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.        Ephesians 4:16

Ch. 4 v. 15- Speaking Truth

"Speaking the truth in love" is one of my favorite phrases.  We can get very proud of ourselves for "speaking the truth," but do we remember to do it "in love"?
But speaking the the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:    Ephesians 4:15

Ch. 4 v. 6 - King James Visits the South

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.     Ephesians 4:6
The KJV distinguishes between second person singular (thou, thee, thy) and second person plural (ye, you, your) unlike modern English where "you" can refer to one person or several.

So when the KJV says "you all" is that like "all y'all"?

Ch. 4 v. 2 - Check That Attitude

Today's verse has provoked attitude adjustments twice already and it's not even nine in the morning yet...
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;   Ephesians 4:2
